Negro Leagues Day

On May 7, 2009, former Governor Martin O’Malley signed a bill commemorating the second Saturday in May as Negro League Day in the State of Maryland.

Join us on this years Negro Leagues Day for a program celebrating the important contributions and lasting legacy of Negro League Baseball in Maryland.

Program Topic: Telling Our Story Because It Must Be Told
Program speakers will include:
Ray Banks
Peter Brooks
Ron Whittington
Luther Atkinson
Ted Knorr
with more speakers to be added!

Light refreshments will be served.

This event is FREE – however, if you would like to join us for the Orioles game after, game tickets are $20. Call 410-727-1539 ext. 3033 to purchase. The last day to purchase tickets is May 1st.
